1. Today is Day 4.

2. Trumpets and French Horn will meet for full band rehearsal on Wednesday this week.

3. The annual 4-H Penny Carnival will be held on Sunday, October 7th, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Exhibits Building on the Palo Alto County Fairgrounds in Emmetsburg. This event kicks off National 4-H Week, October 7-13, 2012. 4-H clubs in Palo Alto County will have booths that will provide various carnival games including prizes for all participants. The 4-H County Council members will also provide a concession stand. 
New members and their families are encouraged to attend and find out about the 4-H program. Bring any questions you have about 4-H with you. The public is also invited. Bring your family members, friends, and neighbors and plan to have a fun-filled afternoon!

4.  REMINDER:  After school program at the Graettinger Public Library is Friday, Oct. 5 from 1:30-3:30.  If you turned in your permission slip you may attend.  Those that are going to the library meet Nancy Schnell out front of the school and she will walk you down to the library.

5.  The G-T Booster Club has Knight football, volleyball, and basketball uniforms for sale.  They are $25.00 and you can view these at the Graettinger Public Library.  All money collected will be used for the purchase of new uniforms.

6.  Palo Alto County is planning to have a PINK OUT DAY on October 23.  October is breast cancer awareness month so you are to wear your pink that day to show your support for anyone affected by cancer.  Pictures can be submitted to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it You may even make it in the paper!  Then end your PINK DAY the Pizza Ranch way!  Palo Alto County Relay for Life’s Committee will be hard at work for a Tip Night from 5 to 8 p.m.  Prizes awarded to those wearing pink!

7.  Friday, October 5 we are dismissing at 1:25 for teacher in-service.
