BOOK FAIR!!! Elementary & MS/HS!

BUY ONE-GET ONE FREE Scholastic Book Fair at the Terril School on Thursday, April 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. during the Open House this Thursday!

The Book Fair will be here April 30th - May 6th.  It will be open before and after school, as well as during some WIN times.  It will also be open from 6:30-7:00 before the Fine Arts Concert on May 2nd.   Yay!

Congrats, Musicians!

Congrats to our G-T musicians who will traveled to Solo and Ensemble Contest Saturday April 13th!  Your hard work and dedication paid off! 

The vocal students participated at Small Group State Music Contest Saturday, 13th. Lauren Hibben, Cassy Hampson, and Mikayla Matthews all earned Division I/Superior ratings. Mrs. Sexe was very thrilled to share our Large Group Ensemble also earned a Division I/Superior rating. Members of the Large Group Ensemble include Cassy Hampson, Sara Harris, Hunter Andresen, Tyler Hauge, Maisey Matthews, Mikayla Matthews, Kyleigh Kalcivic, and Lauren Hibben. Congratulations to ALL who participated in the contest! We are proud!

Terril Announcements 4/9/13

Tuesday, April 9

1. Today is Day 4.

2. Lunch for today:  French dip on Bun, Cucumber Slices, Peas, Apple, Applesauce and Milk.

3. 5th Grade Solo Night will be held in Terril on Thursday, April 18. The recent letter and performance schedule had April 19th listed but that is not correct. Please contact Mr. Pedersen if you have questions.

4. There will be a Lifting Dreams Prom on May 4th at the Graettinger American Legion.  This prom is a fundraiser for Olympic Hopeful Jared Enderton (G-T Graduate).  Social Hour is at 5 p.m., supper at 6 p.m., Grand March at 7:30 p.m., and dance at 8 p.m. until midnight! Cost is $25 per person and a limited amount of tickets will be sold so act quickly!!  Also there are 2 other fundraisers for Jared.  T-shirts can be ordered at $12 a piece until April 15th.  A Green Mountain Grill is also being raffled at $5.00 a ticket or 5 for $20.00.  Please contact Suzy Koenck about tickets for the prom, a t-shirt order form, and/or raffle ticket at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 5.Kindergarten Round-up will be held Monday, April 22 at the Terril Community School from 5:30-6:30 PM.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, please call the Graettinger office at 712-859-3286 or the Terril Office at 712-853-6111.  Your child must be 5 by September 15 to attend kindergarten.

6.Thursday, April 25 Graettinger-Terril Elementary will be having Open House from 5 to 7. There will be a free will offering meal served of Hot dogs Beans, Chips, Bars and Lemonade.  The Scholastic Book Fair will be here with there buy one get one free. 
Summer school registration will also take place.

7.Pre-School Round-up will also be held Thursday, April 25 from 5 to 7 at the Terril building.

8.  U-6 and U-8 soccer coaches will be contacting you about practice and game schedules. April 20 will be your first game. U-10 and U-12 soccer players will be contacted because your games start this Saturday, April 13.

9. Palo Alto County Graettinger Clover Kids meeting for April has been moved to Tuesday, April 23rd. Times are the same, please pick your child up at 5:30 at the Legion. Thank you!

10. Little League Parents/Coaches:  There will be a coaches meeting on Thursday, April 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger.  If you signed up to coach or help, you should have received an email about the meeting. G-T Student Wins Best of Show!

 

Logan Flaharty(center, Bruce Tepfer CCE Art Teacher and Darci Farnum G-T MS/HS Teacher are pictured here as well) brought home "Best of Show" from the Cornbelt Conference Art Show on Monday April 8th.  His over 7 foot tall piece entitled "Red" began as a sketch and evolved into a graphic design image, and then into what you see in this photo.  Logan began this piece early in the school year using carved spray foam and a special "tissue modeling clay" that he found while researching sculpture online.  It's truly incredible!  We are very proud of you Logan!

There are many more Conference Art Show Awards to share and photos too, so check back often!  If you would like to view the works of our very talented students, please plan to attend the Fine Arts Concert on Thursday May 2nd in the Graettinger gymnasium.
