The Hunt for Oxbows team met with partner Mike Hawkins (DNR Management Biologist) to begin work on their project. They will be using brand new software developed by ISU to identify critical habitat.

Due to weather concerns, JV FB at WBM tonight is cancelled. JHFB @ WBM is postponed to tomorrow, Tues. 10/22. JHFB will have practice after school today.

Anatomy & Physiology students wrapped up their Integumentary System unit by creating models of skin using tissue boxes. They used common materials to represent skin structures, layers, and a disease or condition.




Fantastic Friday Fun! Students who chose Mrs Myers' "Zenstitivty" session will be spending the next five weeks being creative. Bring on the paper and pens!

Good morning GT/RA sports fans! In case you didn't know it, we are competing at the Twin Lakes Conference Cross Country championships tomorrow morning, Saturday, at the Emmetsburg Golf Course. Emma Kral kicks things off at 10am and the boys including Kadin Norris, Aiden Egertson, Quentin Scott, David Griffith, and Carson Torreson will follow at 10:30. Both races will be done in time for Hawkeye and Cyclone kickoffs. Please take the short drive to support these young athletes in their biggest race to date! I'm expecting both school records to fall! The Middle School Student Government Team has been working hard on addressing student concerns and coming up with various solutions. They also organized the Homecoming fun day that included the Ruthven-Ayrshire Middle School.

Physics students have been working on calculating vectors in two dimensional motion. They were tasked with constructing a ramp, collecting data of a rolling ball, and determining where a ball would land on the floor when rolled down the ramp and off a table top.


We would like to invite parents, families and community to Graettinger-Terril Elementary's first formal High Five Friday this Friday, October 18th at 8:15 AM. We wish to provide our elementary students the same great experience our Middle and High School students have in Graettinger. Everyone should meet on the ramp inside of the new entrance. See you there!
Fireman, Brad Anderson visited to review fire safety. He gave the kids a tour of the fire truck and reviewed equipment. If anyone is in need of smoke detectors, get a hold of a firemen. They will give them to families, free of charge.

Kaitlin, from the Ruthven Nature Center visited our class today to talk about insects. She brought live crickets and some other preserved insects to share. She reviewed how to tell if a bug is an insect or not.
